Angola torna-se quarto maior produtor de diamantes do mundo

Angola ocupou o 4.º lugar na lista dos dez maiores produtores mundiais de diamantes em 2023, tendo arrecadado 1.550 milhões de dólares, com a venda de 9,8 milhões de quilates, soube o JA Online.

Com esta classificação, Angola fica apenas atrás da Rússia, Botswana e Canadá, segundo informações divulgadas, esta quinta-feira, pelo Ministério dos Recursos Minerais, Petróleo, Gás e Biocombustíveis no Facebook, que cita dados do Processo Kimberley.

A fonte adianta ainda que oito dos dez países que compõem o “ranking” são africanos, nomeadamente, Botswana, Angola, África do Sul, Namíbia, Zimbabwe, Lesoto, Serra Leoa e a República Democrática do Congo (RDC).
